Hey there! I'm Alayna, and this is my husband Jon! We're two regular, Ohio-born people who love to spend our free time watching movies, finding great happy hours, and hanging out with our dogchild, Oslo.
I’ve been around weddings my whole life. My grandfather was a wedding photographer and my mother designed and made wedding dresses. So, naturally, my heart and soul is in wedding photography. Literally everything about weddings make me so excited, and yours will be no different!

Weddings are literally my favorite thing.
If I could choose any way to spend a Saturday, I would without hesitation say shooting a wedding. I love every detail, every moment, and every person that I cross paths with.
When my sister got married in 2019, I realized even more so the gift I can give. Not just to the bride and groom, but their families and friends too. This bride is someone's whole world- a daughter, sister, best friend. That groom is someone's whole world- to his parents, his siblings, his buddies.
I didn't photograph my sister's wedding, so it was interesting being on the other side. I remember first looking through the photos. I remember half way through the gallery, I realized they were all blurry. And looked like they were underwater. It's because my eyes were filling with happy tears.
I couldn't believe it! The photographer captured my sister's real authentic smile that only her closest friends see when she's giddy with happiness. The photographer captured the face my mom makes when she's talking about her daughters and how proud she is of them. The photographer captured my dad's favorite smile- the one where his eyes get all squinty and the little crinkles come out. Moments I've only seen in real life and never thought I'd have a tangible memory of.
And that's when it hit me.
A wedding day is so much more than a pretty dress and a big party. It's a day that so many people have been dreaming of for decades, and a day they'll never forget for decades more. It's a day where only the true smiles come out and the core memories are created. And I have the humbling, amazing, serious, and fun privilege to make sure everyone receives them.

CUSTOM COLLECTIONS FOR THE GREATER toledo, OHIO AREA
We'll schedule a time to chat about your wedding day (schedule a Zoom chat here.) Every couple has unique wants when it comes to photography, and every wedding day has unique aspects that will determine what feels right. We'll talk about your vision for your day, the photos that are most important for you, what you're looking forward to for your celebration, and more.
step ONE
After you walk me through your tentative wedding day plans, we'll build a Collection that has everything you need and nothing you don't. This is going to look different for everyone! Prices range from $3100 to $6100, with most couples spending around $4100 for full day coverage.
step TWO
After we chat, I'll send you an email with all of the information you'll need, along with a sample timeline so you can see how your day might flow, a wedding planning checklist to keep you on track, and more helpful things. Once you talk it over with the primary decision makers, if you decide to book, I will immediately do a happy dance! 🎉 To reserve your date, there is a retainer payment of 25% the total cost as well as a signed contract. And then you can do a happy dance too!

I truly believe an engagement session is a vital part of the entire process!
During your engagement session, you’ll have the chance to get to know me, experience how I shoot and how I handle posing and lighting. This session will make a huge impact on how the wedding day flows. I’ll arrive on your wedding day already knowing how you two interact, what your best poses are and how to photograph you in a genuine way. What I will learn about you during your engagement session is invaluable!
You will feel like such a pro on your big day because of the great practice you had during your engagement session!
how much is required up front?
To reserve your wedding, a signed contract and a retainer payment of 25% the total cost is required.

do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely! If you know anything about Ohioans, you know we're always trying to get away! I've got special packages and pricing for weddings outside of Ohio, so make sure you shoot me an email so we can talk more about your wedding day!

who is your second shooter?
My second shooter is my sister! I love being able to spend the day with her, and we have so much fun! She's been shooting with me since 2011 and we are frighteningly in sync on wedding days. Even down to our killer dance moves.

WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF HAVING A SECOND SHOOTER?
There are many! I can only focus on shooting one thing at a time, so while I'm getting the "safe" shots, my second can be getting the in between moments. For example, while I'm shooting the maid of honor giving her speech, the second photographer can be capturing reactions of you, your friends laughing, your mom crying, etc. So while it's not necessary to have a second shooter, it will give you a wonderful vantage point of your whole day!

will we receive rights to the images?
You'll receive personal rights to every image from your engagement session and wedding day. That means you can share on the gram, share with your fam, and print at Sam('s). Really trying to stretch the rhyming theme here, but basically the personal rights mean you can share and order products :)
